Private Tour - Majestic Blue Mountains
Be swept away by the grandeur of the spectacular Blue Mountains National Park. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2000 the Park is an immense area covering almost 300,000 hectares (700,000 acres).
Avoid the big bus groups by driving off the beaten path to some wonderful outlooks across majestic valleys, waterfalls and hidden waterholes.
Our tour includes the following highlights:
7am – Scoot through Sydney’s western suburbs to the Blue Mountains.
830am – We arrive a secret waterhole location for an enjoyable morning tea/ coffee, cake and fruit stop. Surrounded by the beauty of the Australian bush this is serenity at its best.
10am – Take in the majesty of the Jamison Valley at Lincoln Rock. It’s an incredible place and a must see.
1030am – The pretty Wentworth Falls is our next stop. We will descend a few easy steps and watch the water endlessly cascade to the floor of the valley.
1115am – The Blue Mountains is renowned for the scenic Three Sisters so it would be an injustice to leave this out of our tour. Stand in the exact spot Queen Elizabeth II did in the 1950’s as she gazed to Mt. Solitary and the Ruined Castle.
12pm - Lunchtime! The Private Tour Guide are serious foodies. Sample some of the best food in The Blue Mountains in the quaint village of Leura or Katoomba.
1pm – Skirt the Megalong Valley on a thrilling cliff drive overlooking Narrow Neck Peninsula.
2pm – Depending on how we are going for time we can stop for a cup of tea or an ice-cream (own expense) at the historic Hydro Majestic cafe– the Blue Mountains version of a royal palace. Step back in time admiring their historic photo archives of the bygone era,
if we still want another amazing ‘scenery hit’, we can continue further west and check out another grand canyon in the Grose Valley.
230pm Start driving back to ‘the big smoke’ of Sydney and arrive back at the hotel around 4-430pm.
The Private Tour Guide knows the Blue Mountains very well and we have a couple of secret options up our sleeve if we come across inclement weather.
There is plenty to do in the Blue Mountains and if you're interested in visiting Featherdale Wildlife Park or Scenic World, we can easily adjust the itinerary. Admission costs to either of these attractions is payable by you upon entry.
(The start and end times have been selected to avoid the morning and evening rush hours. By leaving the city at 7am and arriving back around 4pm we save over an hour of being stuck in traffic jams!)
